The Cates in Brazil.

Two young American missionaries move to Brazil in 2007. The Lord leads this couple to plant a church, start a bible school and have lots of babies! Come along as Nate and Dani experience joys, trials, heartaches and victories as they raise their large family of nine children on the mission's field in Brazil.

Nate and I met as two normal American kids when we were 14 years old. We married at only 18 years old and our first daughter Hope was born in 2006. We packed up our tiny family of three, along with my very pregnant belly, and moved to Brazil in 2007. Once we moved to Brazil we got busy! Grace was born in 2007. We planted a church on the island of Floripa in 2008 and Ezekiel was born in 2009. We had a surprise adoption of THREE beautiful kids (Josiah, Lilly, and Jeremiah) in 2010 and we thought our family was complete. God had different plans and Isaiah was born in 2011 and Melody Joy was born in 2013. In 2015 the Lord called us to make a big move to Campo Mourão Brazil to start the "Life and Truth Bible School" (“Escola Vida e Verdade”) and also to run the Calvary Chapel Brazil Conference Center. Bella Victoria (Beautiful Victory) surprised us all when she was born in 2015 giving us the grand total of nine children! Raising our large family on the missions field is full of excitement, difficulties, joys, trials, heartaches, and victories. Come along with us as we walk this life that the Lord has set before us and grow closer to Him along the way.
